Yuca is on Grange Road in Toorak, a neighbourhood café for long breakfasts, unhurried lunches and coffee poured properly.

The room is calm even when it's full, with natural light through the windows and a menu that doesn't try too hard. Turkish eggs with za'atar and labneh. A steak sandwich that could hold its own anywhere in Melbourne. Barramundi with grenobloise sauce for the days you want something a little more considered.

Coffee comes from Locale, and we take it seriously — batch brew, pour overs from single-origin lots, a reserve espresso list for anyone asking what's new. If you're not after coffee, the matcha and specialty drinks list has its own following, from the Salted Honey Matcha to the Coco Einspänner.
